Privacy Policy
NyToSleep helps people create intentional boundaries around app access during sleep and focus periods. This policy explains how personal information is processed when you visit our website, join Early Access or use the NyToSleep app.

Information we process
Account information
When you use Sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple-provided account identifier and, when Apple makes them available, your email address and display name.
Device and service information
We process an installation identifier, device model, operating-system and app versions, login and last-seen timestamps, and security-session records needed to authenticate and protect your account.
NyToSleep state
We sync your sleep schedule, progress, protected-night history, breaks, vacation settings, badges, shields and related settings so your account can be restored and used across devices.
Early Access information
If you join Early Access, we process your email address, optional first name, platform interest, signup source and consent timestamp. We use this information for testing invitations, product previews and launch communications.
Protected-app selections
Your protected-app selection is handled through Apple Screen Time frameworks and remains on each device. NyToSleep does not upload the selected app list or Apple's opaque selection tokens to its servers.
Purposes and legal bases
- Service delivery: authentication, account recovery, sync and requested features, as necessary to provide the service.
- Early Access communications: invitations and launch news based on your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Security and reliability: abuse prevention, diagnostics and service protection based on our legitimate interests in operating a secure service.
- Legal obligations: records we must retain or disclose under applicable law.
Service providers and international transfers
NyToSleep uses providers including Apple for authentication and device frameworks, Render for app API and database hosting, and Cloudflare for website delivery and Early Access storage. These providers process information on our behalf or under their own applicable terms. Information may be processed outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or another lawful safeguard.
Retention
Account and synchronized app information is retained while your account is active and then deleted or anonymized when it is no longer required, subject to security, backup and legal obligations. Early Access information is retained until you unsubscribe, withdraw consent, or the Early Access and launch communication purpose ends. Security records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to protect the service and meet legal obligations.
Your rights and choices
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to processing. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. The app provides account export and deletion controls. You may also contact privacy@nytosleep.com.
If you are in the EEA and believe your data protection rights have been infringed, you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In Italy, this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Children
NyToSleep is not directed to children who cannot lawfully provide their own consent under applicable law. Where parental authorization is required, a parent or legal guardian must provide it.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information. No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this policy as NyToSleep evolves. Material changes will be communicated where required, and the effective date above will identify the current version.
